Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr Mom and I am a Homoeopath and Doula working in Durban, South Africa. I am also the mom to three gorgeous (read noisy, rambunctious, roudy, giving me grey hairs!) boys. C is my oldest, 8 (going on 18 and knows everything!) years old and in Grade 3. T1 is 5 and in Grade 0 and T2 is 2 and not in any kind of school yet. I have an amazing husband. We have been togther for 15 years and married for 10 of those (doesn't mean I don't feel like strangling him at times!)
In addition to my 2 practices, I also run a sanctaury for disabled cats and various other animals that people have dropped off at my house. Besides the 80-odd cats, there are 7 dogs, 2 birds, 2 chickens, 3 bearded dragons and fish.
I also have Multiple Sclerosis, which makes life pretty challenging at times and makes me very grateful for painkillers that actually work. I have had MS for 13 years but it was misdiagnosed and I was only tentatively diagnosed 2 years ago - anyone who has dealt with neurologists or government hospitals will know what I mean by 'tentatively diagnosed'!
I am very new to blogging and am not terrible techno-savvy, so excuse the boring look of th blog for now...I'm sure I'll get there in the end!
